Hi, I'm Andrew Walkingshaw.

I work on Timetric, an online statistics service, for Inkling Software. Here's my blog, photos, and some music I'm involved with.

Before we founded Inkling Software, I used to be a scientific researcher. Here's my PhD thesis; after that, I worked at the Unilever Centre for Molecular Sciences Informatics in Cambridge, where I kept a blog on my work (which was centred around using Semantic Web techniques for scientific data management).

While I was there, I wrote Golem, a toolkit which makes it easier to process the Chemical Markup Language documents produced by some popular quantum chemistry/solid state physics simulation codes. If you're interested in that, click here.

Otherwise, see you around!
